Lea tells off bashers: Keep your dumps private!

Broadway star Lea Salonga, who recently made her local TV comeback via ABS-CBN's "The Voice Kids," is not amused by Twitter users who feel the need to tag her in posts meant to bash or criticize her.

"Tagging me in a hate tweet is like taking a dump and then showing me the evidence," Salonga said on Twitter Monday. "How about you? To what do you liken a #hatetweet?"

In succeeding tweets, Salonga addressed her critics and advised them against mentioning her Twitter handle in their posts.

"In other words, bash me all you want, but please, have enough good manners to keep me out of it. Keep your dumps private, close the door,"

Over the weekend, Salonga returned as one of the coaches of the local edition of "The Voice," along with Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo Manalac.

The reality singing debuted as the No. 1 show over the weekend, having registered nationwide ratings of 33.3% and 35.8% on Saturday and Sunday.

It also dominated conversations on Twitter, with the "#TheVoiceKidsPhilippines" topping worldwide trends on the micro-blogging site on both nights.
